This is a WFOR-TV investigation by Chief Investigative Reporter Michele Gillen focusing on the gassing of mentally ill inmates in a Florida jail. As a former Corrections officer, who was also diagnosed with a mental illness, I did not witness this treatment in California; they were investigated for putting rival prison gangs on the exercise yards, and betting on the outcome. This should be of grave concern to the families of the mentally ill, and there should be an immediate investigation of the treatment of the mentally ill in all state and federal prisons.
